The suspect in a stabbing that took place Wednesday on Blue Springs Road has been charged and transported to the Carter County Detention Center after being released from the hospital.
36-year-old Justin Todd Williams is charged with attempted first degree murder, aggravated assault, especially aggravated burglary, and two counts of reckless endangerment.
The charges come after Williams stabbed a homeowner twice. The homeowner then defended himself and his family and disarmed Williams. Deputies arrived on scene and took the suspect into custody before having him transported to the hospital for treatment of injuries he sustained during his altercation with the homeowner and while fighting deputies.
Williams is being held on a $75,000 bond.
